Raffaele Ventura is a Research Associate at the Robert Schuman Centre (RSC). At the RSC, he works in the Knowledge, Governance, and Transformations (KGT) research area. He also coordinates GlobalStat, an aggregated data portal that provides tools for analyzing statistics on social, political, economic, environmental, and sustainability variables worldwide, as well as the Applied Data Science for Social Research Working Group.
He earned a PhD at the University of Trento, where he studied transboundary natural resources governed in conditions of scarcity. His research primarily focuses on human-environment interactions, employing an interdisciplinary approach that has allowed him to develop expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods.
Raffaele has an MA in International Relations and Security from the University of Bologna, and an MA in Sustainable Development, Geopolitics of Natural Resources, and Arctic Studies from the Società Italiana per l’Organizzazione Internazionale (SIOI).
